Tiny House on the Cape
In 2018 we made our first trip to Cape Cod and quickly fell in love. By September of that same year, we found a tiny cottage mid-Cape it was ours in October. We have completed several renovations over the past two years: the kitchen, lighting inside and outside, bathroom floor, added some layers to the landscaping, and added window boxes to the front of the house. To maximize the space in a 300 square foot cottage, we decided to keep it set as a living room vs a bedroom. We have a slipcover sofa (Willow Queen sleeper from Crate&Barrel) and a coordinating twin sleeper. Having these pieces in the house makes it easy to convert to a “bedroom” at the end of the day. We also layered in some fun accents like gold hardware and faucet in the kitchen and beautiful navy blue hexagon tiles in the bathroom. The space is accented with blue, white, and pink along with warm woods that mimic driftwood. I think we hit the perfect balance of creating a beach retreat that is relaxing and comfortable.
I recently posted pictures on Instagram of the cottage and will continue to keep you updated on our progress. For now, we will patiently wait for Summer and beach days on the Cape. I look forward to connecting soon.
