and just like that it’s fall…

Ok, maybe not quite Fall, especially today. Today is humid and not even that hot, but the rain is making it unpleasant at best. My favorite time of year is when the days are warm and the mornings and nights are cool. Shorts and sweatshirt weather!

I just pulled the trigger on a fire pit for our deck. What do you think? I found a few great options on Wayfair. I love the idea of extending the use of our deck into the fall. It arrives next week and I'll be sure to share pictures once I swap it out with our coffee table. I think it is going to be a lot of fun.

Additional updates I've made in the house include swapping out rugs in the foyer and living room. I've also changed out some of the botanicals to dried flowers and pampas grass. And of course, it wouldn't be fall without a few pumpkins.

I was recently inspired by an Instagram post that had small white pumpkins layered into the planters on the front porch. I was able to find perfect little pumpkins with beautiful stems and added them to the planters on the front of the house. Little by little it is all coming along.
